I don't see much wrong with Tarkin, Vader, Kenobi, Yoda, Palpatine, the Jawas, or the Sand People. Ewoks and Anakin are probably open for debate. That just leaves the ever-hated gungan.

I voted for Jar-Jar, but it was a tough call between him & the Ewoks. My next choice would have been Nien Nunb, but he wasn't posted.

I think Jar Jar is too easy to pick, and for me he actually didn't bring down the whole series like the Anakins. I've seen other whiney characters that actually had character. I'm not sure that a better director could have helped those boys any. However, Jake did about twice as good as Hayden, but twice zero = zero.

I went a different route on this. To me Jar Jar is just as annoying as C3PO. I chose Tarkin. I would like him more involved in the prequels not just a scene at the end of Revenge of the Sith. He was a big character in a New Hope. Show his origins.

Now that I said this, Lucas will add this into the Uber edition of the prequel trilogy

Depends on how you mean "change." If I could completely eliminate a character obviously I'd axe Jar Jar Binks. I f'n despise his worthless character.

I do like the Anakin Skywalker character. He's essential because he becomes Darth Vader. But I'd absolutely change him in the prequels. Hayden Christensen was beyond terrible.

None. Every character is the way it is and has its purpose.

P.S: Jar Jar's hate bandwagon should have died 14 years ago. Sure, the character is pathetic and annoying. That's the whole point. Just like C-3PO was in the original trilogy. The characters in the movies know that.

Also, why are you resurrecting old threads?

What would be better ,bringing back old threads or duplicating them with another thread? I have had ideas for threads but wasn't sure what was already out there. So I simply spend time browsing thru all of the pages to see what there is before trying to start something new that will end up being a copy. Besides ,one of the forum rules (thru most forums I have been to including this one) states to use the search function before you end up making a duplicate thread.

By bring it back to the surface, other new members that maybe didn't browse back far will see it and give their own opinion/2cents to the thread. It shouldn't matter if it is new or old if you can give your own thoughts or even if it is just about telling your favorites in the subject.

I voted Anakin because I don't like how he was presented in the movies. Too whiny, and I couldn't see that personality becoming Vader. Anakin in the Clone Wars, on the other hand, is perfect. I much prefer that version of Anakin, and if you could bring that character to the movies, it would have greatly improved them.

Jar Jar was an annoying stain that ruined one movie. Anakin is an annoying stain the ruined an entire trilogy and led George Lucas to hack the original trilogy to better tie it in.
