And the image quality was the worst I have ever seen on a DVD. Lookerd like an old worn out VHS tape with massive ghosting and blocking artefacts. Really ugly.

Argh. That could mean that the subtitles on the new Blu-ray will be equally bad, because the bad translations of other Mei Ah movies from VHS and DVD have been recycled for the Blu-ray incarnations as well.
And the (at least as far as spelling and grammar go) error-free English subtitles were, as far as I can remember, the only positive thing about the otherwise unwatchable UK DVD. |
