Default Another Remarkable Transfer from Disney THE INVISIBLE

link:

http://www.hometheaterspot.com/fusio...hp?tid/138921/

Video:

"The Invisible has been corrected to achieve an excessively contrasted look. Similar to many other films. The starker visual design has bold appeal, punctuating depth and detail, especially in brightly lit close-ups. Colors have a manipulated saturation too. The forest of pines looked incredible. But accuracy in fleshtones pay a small price in parts"

Audio:

"Most BD early adopters love that Disney has so fervently supported uncompressed audio on the format. And this is another that features 24/48 PCM "

Default The Invisible

So I picked up the invisible as an impulse buy on the 16th.... It is essentially full price 30 dollars bought at hmv.

The problem is Im not sure I should open it, cuz there are many mixed reviews on the movie itself. .

I was wondering If i can just return it and pick up at futureshop with another buena vista film (does this count as the 2 for 1 deal) ?

I know The Wild and Reign of Fire is part of the 2 for one package, even though it does not show it on the online catalog.

I watched it last night after getting it in the Circuit City sale for $14.99. It was a blind buy for me, but the price was right. I liked the movie and grade it as a "good to have in my collection" BD. The PQ and AQ were very good.

Default The Invisible - Good Movie

Picked this up yesterday and finished watching it thirty minutes ago. Pretty good movie I must say. Saw a trailer or preview for it somewhere and it stuck out when I went shopping for Pixar Shorts.

If you like thriller flicks this might be something to look into. PQ and SQ are also up there.

I like thrillers and I had wanted to see this, but it's way down on the list. Although the list does contain mostly movies I have already seen in SD...maybe I should bump this up, but I can't help but think it will be weak.

Yeah, I thought it was going to suck big time, but it was not bad at all.

Eh.. if your looking for super duper thrillers, this is not for you. It's a good movie with an underlying story that some may find boring.

It's not fast paced.

God I thought this movie was an utter load of kife by the end of it.
There were so many dramatic, score swelling scenes that felt awkward and out of place, with nothing really going on, but trying to force emotion.
Honestly, the end was just such a let down. I wouldn't even recommend this as a rental, but would encourage someone who wants to see it to rent it first because I thought it was just bloody awful.

I shut it off after a half hour. I can't imagine watching the whole thing. Went in my never touch again pile.

I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for this one to finally be over. There was nothing "thriller" about it, and the premise of the story made little sense.

The funniest part was that the creepiest scene in the original trailer was not even in the movie. It was only in the deleted scenes.

Absolutely misses the awesomeness it could be! Great PQ (close to 30mps most of the time) and good sound, but the story just flops. Only watched the whole thing because of Margarita Levieva.

The US version is cut. It's not uncut as some sites claim.
In Europe the uncut/unrated version is available on DVD only.
The US version to date is the only one with a BluRay edition but unfortunately they released a cut/censored version of it.
After 7 years now one wonders if the full uncut/unrated will ever be released on BluRay in any country...
