Australia AUS Pacific Rim - 5.1 English + French 7.1 audio

Hi all,

Pacific Rim fans with 7.1 audio might want to skip next weeks Blu-ray in favour of the U.S. release as it suffers from the same issue as the UK release - that is, inclusion of a 5.1 English 16 bit track, compared to 7.1 English 24 bit track. To rub salt into the wounds, the French audio track is featured in full 7.1.

That was a public service announcement from BenjaminG.

Ditto on this. I added the tracks to the database for now though.

Are you shitting me? Seriously?

The US version of Pacific Rim is region free, right? Hell, it'd better be

Cheers for the reply.

It's from Warner, their releases are always region free, I don't know why this needs to be explained all the time, it should be common knowledge by now

Edit: Btw can you provide a link to your review?

I literally got the disc yesterday afternoon before going back to work.

The disc specs are identical to the U.K. release. It's the same disc.

I'm aware that the UK disc is identical and there are reviews available for it, however I wasn't asking for just any review. There are quite a number of members here from multiple countries who receive review copies, though for some I never seem to see their actual reviews, I'm interested in reading or watching your specific review

Not a worry. It won't be a quick one - there's a lot of extras to go through and reviewing is a hobby, not my day job. Will let you know thoughts though.
