Paramount Home Media Distribution will release on Blu-ray Happily Blu-ray BenDavid Grabinski's Happily (2021), starring Joel McHale, Natalie Zea, Kerry Bishé, Stephen Root, and Natalie Morales. The release will be available for purchase on May 25.

Anyone received this and confirmed that it's pressed? Apparently it was a fight for the director to get any Blu-ray release at all, and I saw a picture with the dreaded "Blu-ray Disc" text instead of the Blu-ray swoop logo...

It appears to be MOD, but MovieZyng doesn't say it's BD-R. Maybe Paramount's using the ridiculous release strategy that Lionsgate is doing with But I'm A Cheerleader and have pressed and BD-R versions at the same time.

Ok thanks. I'm going to take a chance on it. It advertises a digital version as well, which I haven't seen with BD-Rs in the past, but I also haven't seen it with pressed MOD in the past either, so clearly studios are changing up their distributions patterns...

I thought the first half hour was pretty good, then it quickly ran out of steam and went on for another hour.

So, was it in fact a BD-R or a pressed disc? And, did it come with a Digital Copy? Thanks in advance..

Just answering my own questions - it is a 'pressed' disc and it does come with a Digital Copy.

Figured this would be a fun ~$5 blind buy and I was not disappointed.
As confirmed earlier, It is a Pressed Disc.
A/V is A+
A very unique dark romantic comedy with some neon noir elements with good to great performances from the entire cast.
