Namco Bandai Games announced at the Ōarai Anglerfish Festival on Sunday that the Girls und Panzer anime is inspiring a PlayStation Vita game next spring. The 3D "dramatic tank action" game's title is Girls und Panzer: Senshadō, Kiwamemasu! (Girls und Panzer: Master Senshadō!) More details will be in the 555th issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki PlayStation magazine on November 28.
Namco Bandai Games opened a teaser website with a sketch and an encyclopedia entry for a rabbit on Thursday. It then added entries for a duck, turtle, anglerfish, anteater, mallard, leopon, and hippo before the announcement. The same animals are the names of tank teams in the Girls und Panzer anime series.
Namco Bandai is making a Girls und Panzer video game for PlayStation Vita. A teaser site says the title will be revealed in Dengeki PlayStation this week.
The Girls und Panzer game will have missions that follow the storyline in the anime series. Its an action game with 3D graphics where you control a tank. Namco Bandai says the genre is "dramatic tank action" since character stories are incorporated into the game.
Girls und Panzer for PlayStation Vita is slated for release in spring 2014.
