far cry 3

so i go to bby yesterday and get my pre-order.

i get home start installing.

it gets done and i click the icon to play.

but no, i gotta update!

ALREADY?! SERIOUSLY?! 2 HOURS AFTER RELEASE?!

WHAT.....THE.....EFF?!

and it's not a small update either.

i swear, it's shit like that that is starting to just piss me off to no end about games. and i won't even go into my issues with steam (which, thankfully, has nothing to do with this game). although now we have uplay, whatever the hell that is.


i just wanna play the game. that's all i wanna do. just let me install a game and play it immediately after i install it.

just like the good ol' days.

The good old days... When games were not rushed out to meet a street date and actually shipped with or with min bugs. *sigh* Those were the days.

well, i get the "update" downloaded and installed. but i had to leave for a while. so i get back home a few minutes ago and fire up the pc to play some fc3.

NOPE! NOT YET!

gotta download another update.
