Default Anime similar to Devil is a Part-Timer and Noragami?

The Devil is a Part-Timer! and Noragami are my two favorites out of all the (admittedly small number of) anime shows I've watched from start to finish. I know plenty of people here have seen countless hours of anime so are there any recommendations for similar shows or even movies?

Well what do you like about these 2 shows? They're pretty different and if you could narrow down certain elements that you enjoyed about them, it would help.

The Devil is a Part Timer is equal parts workplace comedy as it is fantasy action. If you like the workplace comedy aspect, you could try Wagnaria!

Noragami is fantasy action. There are plenty of those...too much to choose from in fact so I would need more qualifiers to narrow it down for you.

Ah, you're right, I should have added qualifiers.

I enjoyed a lot about Devil! but the #1 aspect was the comedy (which I think Noragami has quite a bit of as well, but obviously not to the same extent). In fact, consistent humor is almost required for me to like an anime enough to stick with it. Hell, I watched the incredibly stupid Ben-To all the way through mostly because it made me laugh at least a few times an episode.

I like fantasy action with gods/demons but mixed with comedy, which both shows could be distilled down to. Fantasy action without much humor or vice versa is probably not what I'm looking for specifically.

I mean, I'm open to trying out any anime which looks interesting to me but I also want to zero in on shows I'm most likely to enjoy, you know?

P.S. Only the second season of Wagnaria!! seems to be available online... or am I missing something?

P.P.S. I'm so glad Noragami was picked up for a second season!

I would suggest D-Frag it is pretty funny.

If you don't mind fan service or can stomach it High School DxD is good as well.

I would also add Tokyo Ravens to the list and Chunibyo

As far as streaming?

Tons...and I mean tons...

Plastic Memories
Gourmet Gril
Kancolle

There is a lot on my queue in CR that I could list that you might enjoy.

I've already seen the first ep of D-Frag and thought it was okay but never got around to the second. Is the rest of the series pretty much the same? I haven't written it off but it's not currently a priority for me.

Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions! seems interesting enough for me to check out.

The show I'm currently watching all the way through to the end is Inari Kon Kon, which is cute and sweet. It has "gods" but it's not an action series and usually settles on light, gentle comedy.

Not sure about your other recs but High School DxD's popularity makes me curious. Is it just the fanservice?

There is fanservice in High School DxD but there is also comedy and romance.

D-Frags imo gets better. There is a story behind it. The thing about D-Frag is that the show is fast. But if you stick with it, I enjoyed it.

Okay, I'll make sure to give D-Frag another shot. And maybe someday I'll actually decide to find out what all this High School DxD business is about, lol.

Thank you for your replies, neoz! You're always very helpful on here.

I'm an anime only watcher, so forgive me if there's a Kekkai Sensen manga that makes more sense. I'm up to date with the series, but it just seems like a conglomeration of random scenes and ideas. About the only thing I like about the show is the ED.

If you are talking about CR, they had an announcement about losing the license for the first season on May 31st. Probably why you only see season 2 now.

Love Lab

A Certain Magical Index

I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Got a Job

Kampfer

Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends

Most of these shows are all lighter in tone with humorous characters.

I didn't like the plot twist in Kampfer. Was a good series until it got weird. Hate it when you have a fun series and then 1 character ruins all of the fun. I'm not going to say what i'm talking about since it's some pretty heavy spoilers for the series.

I second these shows as well. I have watched all of them and enjoy them.

Add A Certain Scientific Railgun to that list as well.

Thank you for all of your suggestions, everyone! I've been researching these titles and trying some of them out on Hulu. I really appreciate it.

If you want to cry go watch the first episode of Plastic Memories.
I can't wait for this show to come out on blu ray.

There's an anime with a similar idea but different execution than Devil is a Part-Timer called The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated.
