Thanks Paul. Many audiences may be all penguined out with the recent inflow of many penguin theatrical releases, but if this has strong 3D, I'll take a look, thanks.

I would like to see some of the penguins that live in the warmer climate also as a change of pace on the harsh conditions of the frozen icelands where the father endures zero food while protecting the egg as the mother is out feasting for months it seemed.

N Wave did a 3D release of a penguin movie at the Museum of Natural History in NYC during the summer, but they didn't show it in 3D at that theater sadly.

Just checked this one: It's not Region A locked, as it worked on my Region B player.

I only had time to check the 3D disc. There's a problem on the disc: English subtitles are not working. You can choose the subtitles from the menu, but they are not presented while watching the feature. (You can't change the subtitles track while playing)

I have to check the 2D blu-ray and DVD if they have the same problem...

I believe that it is, but it may be a different edit as the running times aren't the same.

Adventures of the Penguin King is the children friendly version of The Penguin King. Told from the penguin point of view with Tim Allen being the silly comedic voice of the star Penguin. The penguin sex scene has been removed(lol) as are all the brutal kills by the giant Petrels. Other than that it’s the same doc. The Attenborough version is much better and display all the graphic realities of nature.
