I was hoping one of you guys with more experience than myself in LCD projectors might be able to offer some insight into an issue that cropped in the last month with my projector.
Ive begun to notice what can only be described as blue tinged spots (golf ball sized at projected size) on the upper left area of the projected image and less noticeably in the center of the image. Its not an issue with my source component or HDMI cable as it is there when I project test screens directly from the projector. These spots are almost undetectable during dark or average coloured scenes, but if a white background or especially red background is projected, they are extremely visible. Not visible on a pure blue projected background. The unit and bulb are 1.5 years old and have a total of 1680 hours on them total lifetime....outside of warranty. Ive read everything from polarizer to panel failure could be the cause.....just looking to hear from others and whether it is worth fixing or not. Thanks. |
