Default Good Sign...

Seems like there are many more of the specials going on.. granted, holidays, but buying blu disks at $13-$15 per disk is great. This will help get more and more on the bandwagon.

IMO competitive pricing with DVD is the key to growing HDM quickly. When a new release hits the shelves a retailer could have the DVD and the Blu-ray sitting side-by-side at the SAME price. This would really get people to say "hey, waitaminit, I can get the hi-def version for the same price as the DVD?" I think seeing them side-by-side by like that (at the same price) would be "eye-opening" for many consumers.

With all of these specials Sony and Disney keep doing it would not surprise me if we see very aggressive day-and-date pricing soon.

Yeah those are great bargains, I live in Canada and I got fifth element (12.99 US) and Casino royale(15,99 US) for 34,75 CAN shipping included!

If I had purchased those in Canada at the HMV BOGO sale, that would have cost me more (36,99 CAN+TAX)= 40 CAN. Thank you canadian dollar, thank you JR.com!

Among other titles, I'll be ordering Old Boy from DeepDiscounts.com on Tuesday for $21.47 (after the 20% off from their November {11/9 - 11/25/07} sale) with free shipping. This offer is a good way to pick up Blu-ray titles not covered by other sales. To get the 20% off, enter and apply the code "Supersale". Two things to remember: the code can only be used once per customer and it doesn't apply to pre-orders (which is why I'm not ordering now but waiting until Tuesday when Masters of Horror, Volume 3 will no longer be a pre-order and I can get it included for $16.40).

They have about 17 pages of Blu-rays listed. You might want to go through and see what other Blu-rays they may have at a price you want to pay (after the 20% discount). Remember you can only use the code once so make sure you're including the ones you want.
