Me and my friend were watching crank last night and he accidentally knocked over my LEFT surround speaker, everything was okay with that, we weren't hearing anything from the right so we tried different things, we tried switching speakers, (speakers worked fine), we tried putting it on as back left and right speakers (i.e. 7.1) and sound came from both speakers (sounded normal and good),
so the problem is definitely the right surround port, the strange thing is, there definitely was a signal, we heard volume from it but it was very low, and i tried adjusting the test tone to the max on that channel but no luck, does anyone have any suggestions? I tried a micro processor reset and that didn't do anything but wipe auddesy XT (i recalibrated it as a 3.1 system and did the back channels by ear) I called DENON and they said i might need to send it to AJ's Electronics to repair it, but i wonder is it worth it? I am only running a 5.1 system, and am wondering will i miss any sound info since it thinks the rears are the back channels now |
