I hope I'm posting this in the right place, apologises if not!
I have a Sony BDP-350 and when I move into my new house for Uni in a couple weeks I'll finally be able to but an ethernet cable in the back of the player and then into a wireless router. Will this automatically upload any software updates? Also, a friend told me that if its connected to the internet, it'll retrieve the latest trailers associated with a film and play them instead of those pre loaded on the disc. Is this true? Thanks in advance for your help! |

AFAICR Universal's BDs load "fresh trailers" and don't have any on the disc... or they do and bypass them when they are outdated. Paramount titles (specifically The Last Airbender and Iron Man 2) load the same trailers from the internet, which makes it more frustrating. (not only are they outdated, they take foreeeeeeveeeeeeeer to load, sometimes).
