Fox has set December 20, 2013 as the date for a big screen 3D production of Walking with Dinosaurs based on the 1999 miniseries and live stageshow

I have never seen the stageshow but Walking with Dinosaurs remains one of the finest television productions ever produced. The effects work was for a late 90s television production was absolutely fantastic looking better then some big screen productions of the time and it was a loving recreation of the prehistoric work. Walking with Dinosaurs understands that dinosaurs are not just childrens entertainment or movie monsters. Dinosaurs were once real living breathing animals as real as you and me. Puting them in a nature documentary format just made perfect sense.

With 14 years of effects improvements, stereo 3D, and a big screen budget a Walking with Dinosaurs movie can be absolutely amazing. I look forward to this production with eager anticipation
