Downfall (Der Untergang) is their any chance that this title will come to blu-ray? thanks -- i'm a new member to bluray just bought a player

Don't know anything about when this movie will get a release, but I love this film. It's just powerful all the way through. I have the standard dvd, would love to upgrade.

Downfall is available on blu-ray on Amazon. Just bought my copy for 11 bucks s/h included.... oh, and it's region free! just an FYI

Since Sony USA own the rights, I still hope for a 4K DI remastered scan. To give Der Untergang new breath.

How much longer is the extended cut? I would love to own this film on Blu-ray but will hold out for a longer cut. Since it's in Sony's hands perhaps Twilight Time will release it. Great film.

If you want Downfall then the CA version is the one to get. It has lossless audio and contains all of the extras from the DVD. The U.K. has slightly better compression, but only contains a DD 5.1 track. The CA disc is region A locked and the U.K. disc is region free.
