PS3 freezing up after 2.00 update??!?! - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys,
I downloaded the 2.00 update, and installed it. After that, I downloaded the Drake's Uncharted demo from the PS3 store. Now, my PS3 constnatly freezes and is chugging very slow. For example:
(1) when I click "display" under "settings", it takes 20 seconds (yes i timed it

) to pull up the display settings (1080p/HDMI/etc), instead of less than one second before.
(2) when i click on a blu-ray or game to start, the ps3 will randomly freeze
(3) when i go online to play a game (eg. call of duty 4), it freezes randomly at that point to, displaying "downloading game settings", but doing nothing for endless time
(4) the "news" icon at top right of XMB that the 2.00 update provided will not show any news,etc when it freezes up.
I've emailed sony, and called (volume too high to accept any), but in meantime, anyone experienced this??!!

I did not have any problems, but that was the first thing I did!
