Default Slasher // Video Teases First Blu-Ray

Independent label Slasher // Video has announced the possibility of an upcoming 80s slasher on Blu-Ray. From their Facebook:

"Received a call today from the owner of an amazing 1984 slasher film. He has a 35mm original negative. Slasher // Video - SV:008 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray? We'll see..."

My guess is Splatter University. I really hope it's either Satan's Blade, Fatal Games, Or The Prey.

It's possible.

Slasher // Video is a very small label, so I'm guessing it will be something that has never been on DVD before.

Others think it might be Fatal Games, The Prey, Satan's Blade (as you mentioned, you edited while I was posting, lol) or Rocktober Blood.

Here's a list of slashers released in 1984:

That is a very interesting blog to read. Thanks for sharing the link. I wish the author had more recent articles; the last activity I read was from 2012. I loved the remake and sequel story ideas that were posted.

More independent horror distributors are welcome. God know there are plenty of major labels sitting on gold mines when it comes to horror films. So the more companies that pop up to get their hands on these neglected films the better....Except Twilight Time...F them.

A label that is so dedicated to the Slasher genre that it has it in its name?

Ummm.... Hells yeah.

Silent Night Deadly Night!!!. Really hoping its this.

Fatal Games would be cool too. I've never seen The Prey, but have wanted to for years, so that would be cool also.

Its 100% not SNDN, and probably not Fatal Games.

Possibly The Prey.

My money is on Splatter U. The director supposedly owns it

Looks like it is Satan's Blade. Slasher Video posted a pic of the VHS cover on their Facebook page.

Slasher // Video just posted a picture of the contract on their Facebook page. Guess it's official now.
