Onkyo receiver - help needed

Hello everyone

I recently bought an Onkyo HTS 4505 which is a receiver with 5.1 speakers & active subwoofer.

When starting a BD / dvd / cd in my player, the sound will not come on for about 2 seconds. this also happens when pausing a film and pressing play.

is this normal? if not, can it be fixed and if so, how?

any help much appreciated - this is my first venture into the audio/receiver world and I want to get it right from the start!

it's not, but, sometimes people see the same title twice and won't respond thinking it's not on the level.

i see you responeded in the other thread so let's just keep it there to keep it simple.
