Default Game installs

Is there any way to tell when a disc based game is done installing? I put a Seagate 1TB SSHD drive in my PS4 yesterday and started installing all my games again, but I have a hard time telling when they are done. I gave them about 30-35 minutes each to install, and after that time I didn't hear the disc drive spinning any more so I figured they were done.

I'm not sure what I am supposed to click, when I go to the System Info on the HD it will show up instantly. When I put NBA 2K14 in I went right to the HD and is shows up taking like 3500MB instantly. I know it is not installed yet so that must just show up as default thing.....

If you're completed the upgrade, how long did it take to get the new drive installed and everything setup and transferred. I really need to upgrade soon before I have a full-drive to transfer.

It was really smooth, and didn't take long at all. The 1 hiccup I had was that I wasn't smart enough to download the 900MB install/update file to my thumb drive until the 3rd time.(tried 2 different thumb drives thinking the first was bad, but it only had the 400MB file) After I got that figured out, it was a manner of minutes before I was up and running again. Once you set up your account, all your downloads are in the library, no need to go searching all of for them, very well done, then it's just about installing your disc based games, what I figured about 30 minutes each.

You can just try loading the ggame. I did that with Battlefield 4 and it came up saying it wasn't done installing.

Yeah as far as I can tell there isn't a notification when install is complete. Added to Downloads is for updates & future updates. As for 2K, starting that game when "ready to start" appears, you'll know when that's done because you can only play a single game for 2 quarters & once install is done, the rest of the game is unlocked.

The write speed is pretty quick thanks to the 6x Drive. However long it takes to play 2 quarters of NBA 2K is what I'd give each game time to install since it's the largest PS4 file.

Great choice on the SSHD. I put one in before I turned my PS4 on for the first time, and that drive is great.
