Default Help to decide which Receiver to get

So I am trying to decide which is the best receiver for my setup. I had an old set up for 20 years speaker wise, the speakers still work great so I have no intention of swapping those out (I may down the line but in all honestly most likely not)

I am interested in sending audio to my receiver through my android phone and my iPad. Therefore bluetooth audio and airplay are a huge plus.

I am planing on getting a central speaker to make it a full 5.1 system, but there is also a bedroom within 50 feet of this area so I am not so inclined to get something top of the line only because its not the main area where I will be viewing films since people may be sleeping near by, but it does already have a speaker system in place so I do not really want to waste it, thats why I am investing in a new reciever.

I am between these two

Pioneer VSX-43

and

Sony STRDN840
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/1050w-7-...ever&cp=1&lp=8

Now quality wise everyone has told me Pioneer is better due to their experience and hardware but at the same time Sony has some very key features which make it stand out such as WiFi and both Bluetooth and AirPlay.

In order to get internet to the Pioneer I would have to use a powerline adapter to send an ethernet for example ( I have tried these in the past and was not impressed with their data speeds, but this was several years ago): http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Power.../dp/B004D9V8C8

And Pioneer also sells a bluetooth adapter for roughly $55-60

So my main question is this with my dated speaker system an the 2 key features that the Sony Receiver has will I hear and get a significant amount of quality difference out of the pioneer to justify buying it as well as the extra $150 spent on seperate equipment to get it up to par with Sony's Feature set?

Thanks for any help!
