I am in the process of building a home entertainment system. in the process i will need to get a new tv stand as the current stand i have only has a gap/room for one item.
I am worried because i have a plasma it may be too heavy for the stands i am thinking of buying. My room is not so big so i cant go over 1200mm long tv stands and i am on bit of a budget. My equipment: -onkyo ON TX NR656 - 13 KGS -Plasma panasonic TH-P5OS2OA - 29.5 kgs (i think) http://www.panasonic.com/content/dam...structions.pdf - Wharfedale Xarus XR Centre Speaker - 4.2 kgs The tv stand that i want to buy is this one: Tauris Ace 1200 Wide Tv Stand http://www.harveynorman.com.au/tv-bl...-tv-stand.html The maximum weight for this stand is 50kg On the top obviously the plasma will go, and the maximum weight for the top is 35kgs, the plasma is 29 kgs. However the middle can only handle 15 kgs, with the onkyo receiver and the speaker it exceeds the 15 kg limit (17.2 kgs) Do you think this will be a problem? All up my equipment will weigh 46.2 KGS, just under the 50 kgs limit Should i take the risk and buy this stand? |
