Insanely expensive. Considering Pan's can be found for about Ģ8 that effectively means Ģ25 each for Cronos and Devil's Backbone.

It indeed is expensive and I probably will not buy it... unless they upgrade Pan's Labyrinth to lossless audio, give great transfers and loads of additional features to other two films and it will be on a sale for 40 pounds or less.

Just watched Pan's the other night - top transfer, rich in detail and strong on colour.

I guess this will be the first for Devil's Backbone, I wonder when Sony will ever put it out in the US. Cronos, I will wait for the Criterion....

Nice since there are no good version of Pan that has HD audio and DNR free picture yet, maybe this is it? Or maybe theyīll be lazy and use the old UK blu-ray with only DD5.1

Can't imagine it being anything but the same disc. How many Blu-ray collections with different discs from the previous releases are there? Not many, that's for sure.

What's Optimum policy regarding subtitles on non-english titles? Do they burn them on image? Are selectable? Can the main feature be seen without them?

I have "La Haine", "Pan's Labyrinth" and "The Orphanage", they are all presented in their original language and feature only English subs.

They appear by default when you watch the film but you can turn them off which is great!! I wish they would include the subtitles of the feature language too though

I hope this helps

Any word if they will be released separately? I only want Devil's Backbone...I already have Pan. And may wait for Cronos criterion. Assuming of course it's Region A playback.

I'm pretty sure the UK version of Pan is pretty good picture wise - certainly supposed to be less DNR than the US one and a better video transfer overall.
