The Shining (1980) - Dolby Digital audio track only? - Blu-ray Forum

According to the back cover, the disc only features a DD track, but its discontinued HD-DVD counterpart also included a TrueHD track.

I haven't actually picked this one up yet, so I'm hoping it's just a misprint on the cover. Anyone with the disc can confirm this?

If it's true, for shame. Isn't Blu supposed to be superior to HD?

Come on bro, its Warner they don't care about quality lol. They have allot of features without lossless.

No, it's not lossy, it's LPCM 5.1 (48kHz, 16-bit). Look no futher than the Blu-ray.com review to confirm.

In case you missed it PCM: English 5.1 is listed right before Dolby Digital: English 5.1

PCM is uncompressed audio and is the same as the TrueHD track on the HD DVD.
