Default Does Oppo 4k player support 25 FPS bluray?

I want to order Lo and Behold.... bluray. Listed as region free but a note says most us players will not play it because it is 25 fps. Will my Oppo 4k player play this?

I would ask that question in this thread dedicated to the Oppo 203:

Yes the OPPO Blu-ray players will play native 25fps PAL discs and output the image as 50Hz (Or do a 60Hz conversion if the display does not support 50Hz). The disc has to be region free or it will not play, unless one gets a third party region selectable hardware hack.

As far as I know, 25hz isn't a supported format with Blu-ray at 1920 x 1080, just 50i at 1920/1440 x 1080 and 50p at 1280 x 720.

I've found that my 203 is converting 50hz material to 60hz when set to 'auto'- apparently although my LG TV can display 50hz, the info it sends to the HDMI ports say that it prefers 60hz and the player responds in kind. I can manually set the player to 50hz but then have to set it back to Auto for other material to play properly- there needs to be a better override for this.

Frustrating to hear that some LG sets do display 50Hz when my 2016 model doesn't. My old Samsung TVs did.

That is correct 24fps, 50fps, and 60fps is supported by standard Blu-ray players (some do not output 50Hz). However 25fps material is placed at 1080i 50Hz on a standard Blu-ray disc. When one is talking about the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format this all changes. Standard 1080P Blu-ray discs 100% of the time are frame locked at 24fps on the disc, however 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs can do native 60fps up to 3840 x 2160P.

100% of all region A North American Blu-ray players support both 60Hz and 24Hz output. 100% of all region B Blu-ray players support 50Hz and 24Hz output. I am talking about all second generation and later standalone Blu-ray players, some first generation 2006 models do not support 24fps (24Hz). 100% of all OPPO Blu-ray players support 50Hz, 60Hz, and 24Hz regardless of what country it is purchased in.
