Definite guilty pleasure for me. I'll pick this up when it gets dirt cheap.

I'm sure it'll be $9.99 in no time. Now if we can just get Demolition Man, that's what I want!!

Yeah, I think so too, which is why I held off on pre-ordering. I'd definitely be down for Demolition Man as well!

WTF??? With so many great films yet to be blu-ified, why would any company put out this piece of crap that maybe 6 dudes living in basements would want?

This 'basement living dude' forked out ages ago to buy this from Japan. Great wee film! To each his own :-)

Awesome! I never thought this would get released here. I thought about ordering it from Japan, but $50+ is too much for this.

Wow, it's amusing how many times this exact sentence is uttered when a movie is released that they have no interest in & feel the company should be releasing a different title that they want. I hope people who say this understand that it isn't the same company releasing every title!

There are thousands of movies I'd rather see before this, HOWEVER I understand that the company releasing this IS NOT the same company that would be releasing, for example Jaws or Jurassic Park!

PS: I think more than 6 dudes are going to be interested in this film

I haven't seen Johnny Mnemonic in almost 15 years, not long after it come out, I remember not liking it, but I was only 14 or 15 years old then, and my tastes since have obviously changed, so I certainly would be willing to give it another go that's for sure.

In case anyone's wondering about the Japanese cut of the film details are here http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=1523 I'd be interested in seeing that on Blu.

It will be region-locked, and NEVER released in the UK.

I am not a fan of the film, and it will only show its "dated-ness" in the blu ray. But does anyone else think that cover art is HORRIBLE!!! I mean he's like lashing out at us and running from an overhead view of a TRON-like cyber board. It seems so desparate and third rate B-movie. But I guess fanboys and some others like that kinda stuff...grabs attention?

Something more low key, like what Timecop
[Show spoiler]
did for artwork would be "classier" for lack of a better word...but then again, this is Johnny Mnemonic we're talkin about, so "classy" isn't really a factor.

I don't know, that has been the cover I've always known... that was the cover for the VHS copy I used to own back in 1995. The only thing I see different now is the font for the title; I guess I'm used to it after 16 years. I like it.

What do this movie have to do with The Matrix anyway?

This one is inspired on a William Gibson story, The Matrix is a film written by the Wachowski Brothers. I don't get it.

I watched New Rose Hotel a couple of nights ago and Johnny Mnemonic isn't the worst William Gibson adaptation.
