Apparently from what I heard there going to have Juliette is going to be topless in one or two scenes, obviously the had a body double do the topless scene as Hailee Steinfeld was only 15 or 16 when they shot the film.

This looks SO boring and really badly cast. It just looks flat to me.

I love Shakespeare, I see almost any Shakespeare flick that comes out, but I have to agree this one just looks completely uninteresting to me.
The cast sure doesn't do it for me, and nothing else is getting my attention much, either.

there's no indication there will be topless or nudity in the film. Even the article you linked doesn't confirm that. There is an undressing/love scene, but it's probably it was filmed so nothing is shown - over the back, blocked shots... implied nudity.

Not necessarily. Photographed nudity of a minor for artistic (i.e., non-pornographic) reasons is protected under the First Amendment in the US. For example, the well-known 1968 film adaptation features a scene where Juliet is topless, and the actress was only 15 years old.

Interesting, I did not know that, but thinking about it now Thora Birch was topless in American Beauty and she wasn't 18 at the time.

There was going to be nudity in this film they said but once Hailee was cast all that was thrown out as she is underage.

Its entire value seems to be "Okay, NOW can we stop fawning over that gay Baz Luhrmann version, just because it's the only film version we ever saw in high school?"

(In my day, we watched the '71 Franco Zefferelli period-detailed version, which this one seems to be trying to channel.
And here, plenty of mentions of Downton Abbey, to get the period-costume fangirls. )
