Justice League Unlimited ever? - Blu-ray Forum

I recently received the first two seasons of Justice League on Blue, and I have to say the quality was amazing, such a huge step up from the DVD sets (especially Season Two.) Anyone hear anything about Justice League Unlimited coming to Blu ever? This was maybe the most popular portion of the show among fans. Season Two of JL squeezed up to 14 episodes per disc, so they could easily release the whole JLU series (39 episodes total) on a three disc if they so chose (Season One was a three disc set) I believe Season One of JL came out in 2009, with the next season following in 2011...so maybe we are due for another one this year? Anyone hear anything?

I haven't heard anything either. Would love it to come to Blu-ray! Do all the episodes on JL have the black bars on each side? I hope Ulnilimted won't have them, can't stand them for some reason.

I got the feeling that perhaps the first season of JL hadn't sold well so it took them about 3 years to release S2. It's been about a year and a half since the last release. Either way, it doesn't look like they're in a hurry to put them out.

Only Season 1 was animated in 4:3 but they created it in such a way that it could be cropped top and bottom to give a widescreen presentation but Warner chose not to release this and instead went with the original unaltered image.

Season 2 was animated in widescreen but pan and scan versions were created however thankfully the BD has the unaltered widescreen image.

Unlimited was animated in widescreen but never suffered from pan and scanning so eventual BDs should be unaltered widescreen releases like the DVDs.

When did Justice League Seasons 1-2 arrive on Blu?? must've missed that, but yes I would love to own the Whole Justice League Series on Blu

Season 1 came out in 2008 and Season 2 came out in 2011

I'm still hoping they will release Justice League Unlimited as a complete series, rather than as season one + season two... otherwise we will panic waiting for the second season!

Yeah, at this rate it will be 4 or 5 years until they would actually get around to that

Both were $10 in BEST BUY 2 weeks ago. Had several other DC movie on sale.

Yes. I need the Blu-ray badly. My Justice League DVDs were all corroded. With black spots all over the discs. And now they wouldn't play. :-(
I was tempted to get another set from Amazon during Black Friday but I was afraid the same thing will happen again. So I dropped the idea and waiting for Blu-ray.

By the way, slightly off topic, do you think it's possible for me to get a replacement from Warner for my Justice League DVDs?

I'm hoping that Warner Bros. will get around to releasing JLU eventually. It's the only DCAU show that I want on blu-ray.

Maybe if Batman The Brave and the Bold does well, they might release JLU thru their Warner Archive Label.

Is there a reason why a blu-ray complete series boxset would not be made? Are they saving it for a rainy day or do they think it wouldnt sell?

Arent there any sort of video statistics that show that complete series sell better than releasing one season at a time?

It's one of the greatest cartoon series ever and DC superhero stuff seems like at a high right now. Can anyone come up with the reason why the company is not releasing it?

Many DC animated films and shows have been at discount for a while at Best Buy.
