WOW, that site looks so familiar. Except for the numbers in the members list.

Yes, I'm sure Sony is somehow fudging the numbers collected by a totally separate company.

Wow - that post was ridiculous. Basically what I read was

"I bought a HD-DVD player becuase I'm cheap. How can I be the only one who is cheap? Man, I can't beleive the format I picked is going to lose"

Best part about it is that the PS3 is getting well supported in that thread and the OP is coming off like a total assclown

I like the OP's comment about HD-DVD being cheap and that "cheap" is the capitalist way. Someone needs to explain to him that capitalism is about making money and not about selling a product for a loss (See $99 Toshiba A2). If these comments are indicative of the HD-DVD group we must be careful about elevating the discourse or they might not understand us.

I'm sure a great deal of the FUD you are hearing over there is due to some comments on the latest Nielsen thread.

I don't know what's more painful, their bad grammar and spelling, or the fact that it looks like a mirror of this site... I mean, if you're going to have a pro HD DVD site, you'd think at the very least that the background colors would be indicitave of the format...

That all said, is it just me, or do there seem to be quite a few of their more senior members that are defending Blu-ray? Either that or they're pointing out facts that they THINK are a negative, and the truth just isn't as clear to them...

One reason may be that some of their senior members are Blu-ray supporters as well...they just moved to that site because they felt bad about it not having anyone looking at it.

That partly explains why they don't actually have a website yet, just the forum.

Actually I think HD-DVD.com and Blu-ray.com are both hosted on the same server (someone correct me if I'm wrong). That's why the forums look so similar.

The difference though, is in the membership numbers - and the attendent quality of moderation.

Good grief. It's like watching a special ed version of an ant farm.

And this has got to be my favorite post of the whole thread. The guy should change his screen name to Pootie Tang.

Where they are hosted doesn't make any difference. It's stock vbulletin 3.6 software and they can go into their CSS settings and make that abomination look anyway they like. (yes, I own a vbulletin forum)

What I did find amusing is they are calling that particular skin HD-DVD and you can change it to the stock skin if you prefer at the bottom, but it shows they did actually go in and change it and chose the BLU look on purpose!

Keep it up guys, Blu has you so psyched you're flying our colors!!
