Has anyone purchased this title yet? Being that the 2 UNICO films have been released with English subtitles and audio, I was wondering if anyone knows if this has English subs or dub(s) on it as well.

specs on this site say Japanese subs/ audio, as do retailers such as Amazon.jp and cdjapan.
Discoktek have licensed several Sanrio titles and though they've already released Sea Prince and the Fire Child on DVD, a BR version may be a possibility if their recent Unico double feature is anything to go by.

I kinda hope so, as I grew up begrudgingly watching the UNICO films when my older sister was in the single digits... and then finding myself enjoying them (especially the second one). Even to this day, we'll eventually go back-and-forth with the Toby and Koruku dialogue (and whistle the flute theme).

This is a very melancholy movie, so if the US distributor of the UNICO double feature decide to release this as well, that would be fantastic!

UPDATE: I went ahead and purchased it. Unfortunately there are no English subtitles nor the English dub track. Regardless, it looks every bit as good as the UNICO films: a few spots and a bit of grain, but crystal clear and very colorful.
