If your blu-ray collection is indoors, then most likely you will be equipped with some sort of a cooling device: a window air conditioner, fans or central air in your home, if it's extremely hot outside. Humidity will not damage blu-rays. Blu-rays, DVDs and CDs, or any kind of laserdiscs, are not like records albums, which will get warp in high heat conditions. Vinyl must be stored in a cool place.

Take it out of the case, sure. But if you actually see moisture on the disc, I wouldn't put it in the player (at least not without wiping it off until it's fully dry).
But 59% humidity is not really all that high, especially in summer. |
