Default French History

I'am interested in knowing and finding more films about French history. Particularly the Revolution, Napoleonic wars, and WW2. I would be open to other suggestions such as the conquest of Gaul by Julius Caesar and the Middle Ages. Films that I would add to the topic are:

Waterloo, I only had a Korean DVD as I don't think this film ever saw a release stateside on DVD.

The Sorrow and the Pity, a really interesting documentary about the French government during the German occupation of 1940-1945 under Petain.

Napoleon, the silent era film that has never seen the light of day outside of a few screenings and a Coppola restoration.

Truffaut's THE LAST METRO and Melville's ARMY OF SHADOWS are both excellent dramas about the French resistance during WW2. Kubrick's PATHS OF GLORY (based on real incidents within the French army during WW1) may also be of interest.

While it extends a bit beyond the time periods you're discussing, BATTLE OF ALGIERS is a can't-miss if you haven't seen it.
