Default Movies you tend to under-rate?

Lets hear it.

Whats those movies you under-rate, forget, and tend to hate on when you look through your collection or at stores, but once you watch them again...you earn a respect for?

try to keep it to the movies that are currently on blu-ray..theirs way too many regular dvds that fit in this

A big one for me is invincible. The 70's feel and look is shot really well in this movie and the producer had a way of making blu-collar seem so real in this

For me, it's more along the lines of just forgetting about them (rather than hating on them or whatever).

I really like Man on Fire but most of the time I seem to forget about it when listing my favorites or pass right over it when looking for a movie to watch, etc. Not sure why that is. Black Hawk Down and Kingdom of Heaven are a couple of others I really like but tend to forget about at times.

The Devil's Rejects I suppose. I really thought it was just sick, without any redeeming qualities the first time I saw it. I actually own it on Blu though. Having watched it, as well as its commentaries, I kind of appreciate what Rob Zombie was trying to do with it now. Not a favorite, but it's watchable now, and worthy of my collection.

yeah thats one for me as well...it has a pretty cool way of being creepy...its also one of my favorite endings to a movie. Rob Zombie has some really good cinematography.

Most of M Night's films have failed to match my expectations the first time, leaving me on the backside of indifference. They've always replayed better. Signs has even become one of my favorite films. I haven't given The Happening a second chance yet though. I think maybe it was his experiment into the realm of mindless gore.

Journey to the Center of the Earth grew on me after seeing it in 3D. I also didn't fully get A Knights Tale at first. It took a music appreciation course and the associated history lessons to see beyond the seeming shallow surface of that film. I already liked it, I just didn't appreciate it. Layer Cake is another I had to learn to like, as was Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. The later though I'm still uncertain of its worth.

I was watching my Devils rejects DVD last night and it looks great. it also has a nice "30 days in hell" documentary on the second disc along with many other extras.

is it worth it to double dip this movie since it's meant to look a bit grainy anyway?

Blade Runner was one that I really disliked the first time I saw it but after re-watching on Blu, I can say it is a fine sci-fi film. It still isn't a classic to me but I can see it might be to some.

My experience was almost identical. I didn't enjoy it that much after the first viewing, but after giving it another shot on BD, it has become a favorite of mine.

That's how all of Rob's movies are for me, I don't like them at all the first time I view them but with passing time and repeated viewings I always like them later on haha. I somehow never remember how damn much I LOVE the William Forsythe torture scene where he is avenging his brothers death on the Firefly clan with a staple gun, railroad spikes, studded belt and good rib kicks. It's definitely the strongest scene in the whole film, and btw there are some great deleted scenes on this disc as well, one with Rosario Dawson in one of the bloodiest death scenes I've ever seen, and a great one with Otis and the hooker played by EG Daily that is so much fun to watch as well. Funny how I always seem to forget home much I enjoy this film until I watch it again.
