Rock Band DLC Details and Schedule

Oh man this rules. $5.49 per 3 pack and individual songs will most like be $1.99 but can be as low as $0.99 or as high as $2.99. They also have a full schedule for upcoming packs and single track releases up through December 18th.

Does anyone know if Harmonix plans on releasing intrument specific packages of Rock Band? I really only want the guitar and I'm not paying that much money for the whole thing.

I'm pretty sure you can buy stuff separate. Played the drums (in Walmart of all places) the other day. What was cool was in several places they allowed free-form drum fills. Picking up my full combo pack on the 20th from GameStop!!

One complaint, however. My wife really likes Guitar Hero (and so we're buying Rock Band so we can do, you know, the band thing). However, there are not enough chick songs. Scanning above I saw two: Runaways and Pretenders. I know gaming is predominantly a guy's medium, but they need to do more chick songs.

I'm just sayin'.

Ha! So on a whim I emailed Rock Band about adding more chicks. Wasn't expecting a reply, let alone one so quickly!

Thanks for writing in. While we *do* have Hole, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Garbage, we are aware of the deficiency in female singers, and are working on fixing that with our aggressive downloadable content plan. So far we have announced “Cherry Bomb” by the Runaways, and “Brass in Pockets” by The Pretenders (okay I know that’s one song but there’s more to come I assure you!). If you have suggestions for Rock Band I recommend you submit them via our community website at rockband.com.
