Mods/Admins, for your consideration:
Please institute a rule (a violation of which is punishable by suspension) that says something to the effect of... well, let's just go with a general "Don't be a creep" rule. This means don't act like an actress' breasts are a separate person, don't obsess over whether a woman's body is "right" to play a superhero, don't say that women could stand to lose a few pounds, make ironic sexist remarks at your own risk, basic simple stuff. (Don't tell us what you masturbate to.) There are people (women and men) on this forum who find this sort of unfortunately abundant talk very creepy and in some instances, disgusting. It's become a problem, especially in discussions of movies, and I see little to nothing done about it. I've heard the claims that this is a "family friendly" website time and time again yet this sort of stuff is evidently permissible? |
