Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection

Saw the trophy list for this game, and this is the first I heard of it. This is a no brainer day 1 purchase for me. I grew up a Genesis gamer, and many of the games on this compilation I would of payed $5 a piece for.. to get all of them for $30 with platinum trophy support is huge.

All the sonics, streets of Rage, Golden Axe are pure fun... Shinobi, Alex the kidd are great titles as well vectorman was fun as well..I even enjoyed kid chameleon..

The only games missing that I want would be earthworm jim, Boogerman, Sonic CD and Toejam and Earl... but supposedly there are more hidden games you got to unlock..The best part.. this game cost $30.. for all those games!

What are you favorite Genesis Games? Any on this list or missing that you would like?

Looks like I'll be selling off my mega collection for the gamecube. will definitely be picking this up. This will save me from buying ecco and comix zone on the virtual console

As for my fav genesis games. hmm. I didn't own a ton of them but did absolutely love

Sonic 2
Ecco the Dolphin (only played the first one)
Toe Jam and Earl (1 and 2 though I greatly prefer 1 - already bought these for the wii virtual console)

I have been holding off on the virtual console thing hoping for something exactly like this.. that VC is a rip off.. collection disk should be coming out for every publisher.. Add in the trophy support and 720p support.. man this is a can't miss.. I bet this disk sells more than all existing Sega next gen games combined.

$30 is just a great price.

This has some of my alltime fav games.....Ecco, Sonics, Golden Axes, Vectormans......I only wish Earthworm Jim was first part....

Isn't this the same or very similar to the Genesis collection that's out on PS2 and PSP right now? Are they redoing the graphics or something?

I agree... When I saw this trophy list I freaked out. It's going to be a fun game to get trophies in because it's like a ton of full length mini-games. lol.

Awesome, the Genesis was my favorite system... I hope the 360 doesn't ruin this in HD as well tho.

There is no online in these games, just the originals as they where, but for the price you cannot blame them. Actually they are the originals with an upgrade to 720p support.. not redrawn, but an enchanced image, which is great by the way.

I am in the same boat with you all, there are at least 6 games on there I want to beat completley.. again.. and these are not mini games but full length games I probably paid 40 - 50 bucks for back in the day. Man a great collection.

i downloaded the trailer on psn and i saw a small clip of a game that looked like an old zelda game. link to the past is one for the snes is one of my favorite games of all time. wat game was that and is it similar to zelda? ive never heard of sega having a zelda ripoff, i know hudson did with nutopia, i played the second one and didnt like it.
