Man, Fox is really doing a great job with the classics on BR recently! I hope that this keeps up and inspires other studios to open their vaults.
Having seen the Simpsons parody ("Moe Letter Blues," S21E21), I am really looking forward to seeing the original. |

great news--another Fox studio classics' dvd title coming to blu.
![]() still wish the studios would stop with the color artwork on b&w films. just looks weird imo. btw: really want Peyton Place, The Snake Pit and The Inn of Sixth Happiness. Last edited by Arkadin; 06-26-2013 at 06:45 PM. |

![]() Same here! I blind bought All About Eve when it came out and now is one of my favorite films so I'm gonna do the same with this one. I'm sure I won't be disappointed! |

I know I am in a minority, but as much as I like "All About Eve" I think this film is a tad better.

I hope Fox releases some more of Mankiewicz' films on Blu-ray like Somewhere in the Night and Five Fingers, the latter of which is long overdue on digital media stateside. Last edited by bluknight1; 07-03-2013 at 12:25 AM. |

Never seen the film, but always thought this famous story was funny, per Wikipedia:
"At one point, the film was called A Letter to Four Wives. When submitting the adapted screenplay to 20th Century-Fox chief Darryl F. Zanuck, Joseph L. Mankiewicz mentioned that he found it too long and asked how Zanuck felt about shortening the movie. "Take out one of the wives," Zanuck replied. I went looking for it today at Fry's, found it in the "Comedy Section" under the letter "T" for "Three Wives". Gotta love Fry's.
