Anyways if you are eager catch the movie and it hasn't released in your area. You can watch the flick Dirty carnival.More or less the same film with minor changes.

Changed the title , it's released here in the UK and my mate saw it said it top notch. We should support these films to get a bd release.

I had some issues with it, but it's a pretty good movie, and certainly much better than most Tamil films out these days.

I haven't seen "A Dirty Carnival" but it looks like Jigarthanda uses the initial idea of a filmmaker befriending a gangster for research and goes a different direction.

The movie had a terrific first half and then an average second.The second half didn't work for me for overall film.As the film begins its thrilling drama and then takes detour to absurd comedy.That didn't feel like a great mix.

Sound was superb.Watched in a Dolby atmos(movie uses dolby atmos format) supported theater.

And yes it has many references from the dirty carnival. Thats about it.Not outright copy.

Really looking forward to this film... Hope that it gets at least a DVD with subtitles...
