Degausser Video is a brand new label created by several of the devious minds behind VS, which will bring to Blu-ray deluxe editions of both canonical and under-seen shot on video (SOV) genre cinema, in addition to work shot on film, but edited on tape, wherein the original film materials are believed to be lost or destroyed. Similar to Vinegar Syndrome's focus on FILM preservation, Degausser will work only from original analogue tape materials with an emphasis on maintaining the aesthetics inherent to each respective video format. Additionally, each title released by Degausser will be made available in an ultra limited "new" VHS edition, fitted in a custom designed hard shell light box.

They really made Redneck Zombies look good. This, Boardinghouse, Shatter dead - they show how good SOV can look when encoded right.

Watched Redneck Zombies yesterday. I thought it was a ton of fun.

I recently got my MVD Black Friday order. Didn’t even realize, but I had ordered an old Redneck Zombie DVD from that sale for only $1. The new release definitely looks better.

I noticed Herencia Diabolica has a spine number 4. They skipped 3. I wonder if whatever 3 was, got delayed??

I picked it up, and the VHS LED version. I went back and forth on that VHS copy. I regret buying it now and I think it will be the last one I get. The collector in me, wants to get them all, but dang they are expensive. I wouldn't mind a less fancy case and like a $30 price. Nah, I just need to stop buying these VHS tape versions.

2 must've been delayed as well, though that is much more uncertain as the Rad tape is numbered 2, and the discs and tapes match up numerically.

Now we have Nightbeast, and it is spine 6. So, they have skipped spines 3 and 5.

I wonder if they are kinda counting the VHS releases as a number? Like Nightbeast is more or less the 6th release. There have been 2 blu-ray and 3 VHS releases before it. So, it is the 6th release, but only 4 unique titles.

Another interesting thing about Nightbeast. The description for it says VS is proud to bring this 2K restoration to Blu-ray, yet there is no Blu-ray up for sale. Only the VHS.

Most likely a simple copy and paste error, since they have sold this title on Blu-ray previously.

That explains it. So, it is like the Rad release then. A VHS only release on Degausser, for something previously released on disc. Thanks!!
