It would be cool if they released a box set of the trilogy, the second one is excellent.

my copy should ship from JB by today's end.

Don't think I've bought a release by Gryphon Ent. before so not too sure if region locked but I'll report back later in the week if no one else has an answer before then

I didn't have time to check all regions, but it works on my region A player

BUT damn the image/transfer is piss poor. Very poor. It looks like SD. Great film though. Of course it was never going to be reference quality but yeah...

I bet criterion will release a trilogy box set. They'll want some Refn (now that he's done quite a few art-house films and gained a big following) in their collection and really... Who else will bother? If someone else wanted to release it, they'd probably of done so when the remake was released to try and cash in. Not that it was a big release or anything.

Obviously I could easily be wrong. It's just a guess afterall but I'm not the only one to guess it. It seems likely. And they'll do a much better job of it than an Australian label. We're pretty hopeless.

Saw this in store. Nice slipcover. Back stated Dolby Digital 2.0 though. Anyone care to confirm? If the image is poor and it's lossy 2.0 audio that'd be a couple of very good reasons to steer clear.

yeah Dolby Digital 2.0

I'm no huge fan of slipcovers and this one is of the variety that offers nothing new compared to the case artwork. The only difference is the gold across the top of the cardboard. Waste of paper really imo though the image is cool in and of itself.

Could someone post some screenshots of this please? Is it the same quality as the German Blu-ray?
