United Kingdom Where's The Lone Ranger?

Not nearly as bad as it was reported to be,surely Disney will have this out for Christmas? (They need to make a few more dollars with this one).

They might hold it off until after Christmas knowing that releasing it with everything else might just lead to it being lost.

I watched the film at the cinema and it was surprisingly enjoyable - nowhere near as bad as its reputation would suggest. No masterpiece but a lot of fun and some incredible set pieces considering how much of it was live-action effects.

I think the Lone Ranger became one of those films that it seems cool to hate. I think most of the reviewers made up their minds they were going to hate it before watching it. It's nowhere near as bad as the reviews suggested and I will definitely get it on blu ray. I was quite pleased with Empire magazines 4/5 review.

I thought the film was meant to be in 3D and could only find it in 2D at the cinema. I though I was imagining things but then Amazon.co.uk have a placeholder for the 3D version. confusing.

It was never released in 3D - no idea why Amazon would put up a placeholder, must be a mistake. It was a 2D film from the offset.

See i recall reading that it had been converted into 3D. I swear i saw 3D at the end of some of the trailers. I acknowledge that this 3D version appears to have never materialised though.

I remember seeing a trailer in 3D for this film. Some scenes look like they were done purely for a cool 3D effect. Like the boy throwing the silver bullet and when the train breaks up when Tonto and John are in chains and a part flies towards them and lands between them.

I think this was meant to be a 3D conversion but Disney cancelled it. They might have only converted the scenes that were used in the trailer.

Maybe it will be like Harry Potter 7a where the 3D version skips cinemas but ends up on blu ray. Maybe Disney are waiting to see how LR does on blu ray before finishing the 3D conversion at a later date.

If they want to guarantee it will sell, then they should release it as a steelbook

Same kind of bad reviews where flung at John Carter, but I really enjoyed that one.
I saw LR at the cinema. Didn't like it

LR was getting slightly more positive reviews in Europe. Carter was panned everywhere...

HMV price anyone? I've got the steel on pre-order from Zavvi but I'm curious as to what HMV are charging

£15.99. Very lacklustre looking release. Looking forward to the Zavvi Steel.
