Canada The discreet Charme of the Bourgeoisie / Alliance

Does anyone know how the quality of this blu is? Will it basically be the Studio Canal transfer?

I came here also looking for information on this Alliance release as well as their release of "Belle De Jour". Both are great deals on amazon.ca at the moment, which has me both excited and nervous at the same time.

I just received this one and 'That Obscure Object of Desire', the PQ on both discs is very good considering the age of the movies. Unfortunately there are no extras, though - very disappointing.

Could somebody that owns this release tell me what the US dual format/combo cases are like? Are they slim or European width? Thanks

Even though I'll never understand concerns like this, rest assured this release is "American" size. The deal breaker for you will probably be the bilingual spine and text on the release.

Edit: Also, to clear up any confusion - this is the StudioCanal release as far as my eyes can tell. The disc art has the StudioCanal logo on it as well. Excellent quality, but it is indeed disappointing about the lack of extras.

I live in the UK, so have the option of getting the UK release but I've found this Canadian release for cheaper on eBay. I don't like the slimmer cases and don't require a DVD copy too (the UK is Blu only) so I'm undecided. Please explain what you mean about the bilingual spine and text - I've never imported a Canadian release before. Thanks.

On the spine it has both "Le charme discret de la bourgeoisie" & "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie". The artwork is reversible, but has both languages on both sides.

Edit: You can actually see this in the pic here on the site! https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-D...Blu-ray/51469/

If you want my opinion just buy the thing already!
