Default The Pirate Fairy (Tinkerbell)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if the Walmart exclusive version of this comes in a Blu Ray case..?

It comes with a DVD and that is likely in a DVD case which is fine (since it's a DVD) and the way the packaging is made I can not tell if the Blu Ray is in a DVD case also.....

That would really be a bummer... I hate DVD cases for Blu Rays.

I picked this up for my daughter yesterday at Wal-Mart and it is a regular BD/DVD/UV release in a standard BD case with a nice slipcover. She actually watched it last night and I was surprised at how good the animation is.

Yea, all of these films are pretty entertaining as well. Haven't watched this one yet, though I've heard good things so far.

I agree. For a DTV series it's surprisingly well done.

Thanks,... I've been afraid to open it... Disney used to sometimes make special DVD case versions for stuff.

Thanks Again,

Does the extra feature come in a separate box?

Extra feature? It's a single case just like most BD releases.

The only visual I have seen for this item (on an auction site) is some sort of long box with the blu-ray on the left, and the extra feature on the right. So I thought it would be two boxes under a cardboard box.

I didn't see that at Wal-Mart. Just the standard release.

Does this Blu-ray have the Mickey Mouse short Staying Cool? StichKingdom.com said that it did but I didn't see it listed on the slipcover. http://http://www.stitchkingdom.com/...on-clip-70014/

No, I don't see it.
This is the order I see the bonus features
1. Second Star to the Right: The Legacy of Neverland
2. Croc-U-Mentary
3. Deleted Scenes with Filmmaker Introductions
4. The Making Of "The Frigate That Flies"
5. Animated Shorts (2 Fairy Pirate Shorts)
6. Sing-Along Songs
7. Info

The Pirate Fairy got more exclusives than Thor and Frozen combined. Walmart, Target, TRU, and Best Buy.

(Bit OT: Hope Disney goes all out for Captain America: The Winter Soldier in a few months. As long as they offer a Best Buy steel that matches Thor: TDW, I'll be happy.)

FYI - That version is the same price as the Blu Ray without the DVD....

So that DVD is free...

I'm not a big fan of DVDs these days know for a fact my kids can't tell the difference... I say this because I caught them watching the DVD from my the Incredibles 3D combo pack....

HDGoofnut... maybe you can buy the exclusive then return the Blu portion on your other receipt... (I don't know if the blu is sealed under ... )

too bad there's no 3D version ... Tinkerbell is a little hottie.

HDGoofnut,

I don't know if you can be bothered for just a DVD but I wanted to say that inside the exclusive edition the blu ray is sealed on it's own. So,.. would be possible to buy the exclusive edition and return the blu ray copy using the receipt you have for your blu ray copy... again... not sure if you would bother... Just the heads up.

The blu is sealed inside the packaging.

How about the Target version? Target is known to assign the same DPCI numbers on regular edition and exclusive versions.

Target.com lists only the exclusive version, and it shows "in stock" at all local stores -- including one I know was OOS of the exclusive around noon today; apparently they're using the same DPCI for both versions (though I'd have to scan the regular one in a Target to confirm). However, the red-and-white Digital HD/Digital Copy sticker is applied to the shrinkwrap on the exclusive vs. the slip on the regular; an eagle-eyed Guest Services rep might raise questions.

How big is the book that comes with the Target version? Is the slipcover big enough to hold the Blu and book? I have the Target exclusives for the other Tinkerbell movies might as well get this one too!
