well, directed by Yuen Woo-Ping is not a good sign, but trailer looks dope and I like the character in Ip Man 3 so really looking forward to this

Trailer is awesome! Love all these martial artists (except Bautisa, but he's cool as well), especially Yeoh. Love that she's still doing these types of movies.

Cautiously optimistic--fight scenes look good, nice cast, but everything else looks pretty standard to me.

So, is this like an Ip Man shared cinematic universe now?

Looking forward to this. Max Zhang is incredible!!! Having all three actors in this film should be a treat. Hopefully Michelle Yeoh & Tony Jaa are not wasted to minor roles. Should be good either way.

At this point, I would rather see a “making of” movie of this than the actual movie itself as the movie looks GAF (generic as f*ck). But, yeah, I’ll still see it. Michelle Yoeh fighting again, yeah, I’ll bite.

This looks great! And after enduring so much shaky cam from Hollywood in the last decade it's refreshing to see fight scenes that aren't a shaky over edited mess!

I have only seen the first Ip Man (loved it) but looks like I don't need much franchise knowledge to enjoy this one.

Same with me, I was a little worried I'd need to have seen all the other Ip Man films, but no, this movie stands on it's own for sure.

I watched it a while back at BIFF. It's not particularly memorable or outstanding, it's very, y'know, PG-13, wide appeal... But it's very well-produced, wholly enjoyable, good unpretentious fun.

It was also kind of a neat experience seeing it in Busan, it's my first film festival, and it was the closing film of the festival, played to a huge audience in their big outdoor BIFF theatre. After the screening I saw a lot of people hanging around, a lot of young girls, taking pictures in front of the BIFF podiums doing dramatic martial arts poses in emulation of the film, which I thought was adorable. Everyone, regardless of age or gender, seemed to have enjoyed the film which was really cool.

It looks like a Chinese blockbuster. They got the star actors, Michelle Yeo, Dave Bautista, Tony Jaa. The movie should do well on the talent involved.
