Sandpiper Pictures will be releasing the film Salsa (1988) in January.

Nice, more Cannon. Less interested in the film itself than the story behind it and Golan/Globus' race against each other to get dance movies out first.

EDIT: Not even the film I was thinking of, that is Lambada and the competing The Forbidden Dance.

Curious about Sandpipper. They released some Twilight Time Movies, but they seemed to have come out of nowhere. Has anyone bought any of their releases?

Yeah, it's very strange. The only info I can find is that it's registered to some guy in Virginia:

The address on file is some kind of "virtual office" and apparently he owns a few other business' such as a wholesale company (that's also located at the same address for Sandpiper). It all seems a bit shady.

Curious about their encodes. They seem to have gotten a deal with MGM and I do want Posse as the old release is OOP. I wonder how their releases will turn out.

I loved this movie back in 1988. It's very cheesy but it's a lot of fun and has a great soundtrack.

Bolero and Ghosts Can't Do it seem like good future re-releases for Sandpiper. Missed the Shout double feature.
