Post Live Free Die Hard DVD to have portable copy on disc

I remember back before BD was released that Sony was talking about putting a copy of the movie for the PSP on BD. What ever happened to this idea, and why are we seeing it on the DVD version and only good for PC's.

I concur, Sony should just put a PSP encode of all their blu-ray releases. It'd be probably about 1 gig max. This should be the new transitioning plan away from UMD movies noone buys. It would also help sell more blu-rays because of the included PSP version, that can be touted as an extra value. Of course, games will always remain UMD.

Thirded. I just got a PSP Slim and I've been going to town on my anime DVDs. I'd love to see Sony add a PSP encode that I could just throw onto my Memory Stick Pro Duo and watch at work.

Hey Insiders, HINT HINT!

It's only good on PC because Apple refuses to give the hooks to write things like secure DRM to outside people. That's why Interactual never wrote a Mac version for their DVD-ROM stuff.

Sony is going to have a movie service that will include PSP versions up soon, and I'm sure that they'll be looking at including them on Blu-rays once there's a system to use your PS3 as a transport for them.
