My guess is that this is the only way they can pay off the licensing from Fox. Hopefully this will get an individual release.

Anyway, I bought the old DVD collection, watched the first disc, then never touched it again. Should probably tell me I don't need the movies.

Well, 3 now.

Though Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie takes place after the end of Power Rangers Zeo and before Shift Into Turbo Part 1.

I'd have bought it all if it was remastered. The existing Shout DVDs are awful quality.

I was really excited when I saw the thread title, but I don't want to rebuy the whole series just for the Movie on Blu-ray. Shout Factory better make a statement if the Movie will be released individually or not.

It's the best you can kinda found. They only way to get more quality is releasing a Blu-ray with SD content since the episodes can't be remastered. They would need to go back to the Japanese Original elements from Zyuranger and rework the effect, which I'm pretty sure will be impossible.

Yeah I know. But i was hoping for the tv show to be blu ray not just the movie. I dont buy dvd anymore

I have the feeling this was a rushed decision made by Shout. With Disney buying Fox, and Hasbro buying Power Rangers from Saban, the Movies would end up in a licensing fiasco. I imagine Shout always could have licensed the movies from Fox but Fox asked too much money for them. But if they didn't do something now then The Movie may never be on Blu-ray. Bundling it with the original series in premium packaging was probably the only way they could justify giving it a large price-tag to make up for the licensing fee.

We probably won't ever see the Turbo movie on Blu-ray. I think MMPRTM already had a HD restoration so Shout has a transfer to work with.

I really have no interest in the series but the movie's one of my great guilty pleasures.
