Default Under Siege 3

http://moviehole.net/201477127steven...-under-siege-3

There have been a Cop-and-a-half’s worth of rumours regarding one throughout the years, but Steven Seagal’s finally getting serious about doing a third “Under Siege” it seems.

In a new interview with The Big Issue, Seagal says he’s trying to get a second sequel to his 1992 mega-hit up.

Considering the first two films were housed at Warner Bros, Seagal would seemingly have to get back-in-bed with the studio he seemingly long parted ways with.

Under Siege was set on a boat, Under Siege 2 was on a train, if they made an Under Siege 3 where would it be set?

I would set it in Russia.

It seems like Russia has been Hollywood’s default bad guy forever.

I sorta think the opposite. I think that America and Russia should be great allies and great friends. And can be. What I want to do is write a movie, which I’ve sorta already done, where Russian special forces and American special forces work together to combat terrorism. The only way for us to prosper as a human race is for us to get along. There are hundreds of millions of people that want that.

So Under Siege 3 will happen?

Sure hope so.

Would it be on a boat or a train or would it be about something bigger than that?

I don’t want to make it too big. I don’t want it to look like Die Hard 47 or something like that. I’d like to make it a bit more realistic if I can.

In the same interview, Seagal says he’s still not keen on doing an “Expendables” film, but suggests he might be putting together his own similar-themed project.

Would anyone really care for Under Siege 3? The movies have their fans and i am sure some would want a 3rd, but there isn't any clamoring for it. The time for that would have been after he dropped that additional 100lbs for Exit Wounds. You have to suspend enough disbelief as these guys get older, but really fat AND old - not buying it. He just needs to suck it up and do Expendables 4, b/c he'll never do another studio film that gets released on a big scale.

There's no way on this planet that WB will want to throw a big pile of money at a movie with Steven Segal as the lead, considering his reputation and physical condition. It would be literally like throwing their money away.

LOL, so he doesn't want to do an Expendables film, but would like to do one like it.

He has been trying to get this off the ground for years now and nobody wants to get behind it. This will never see the light of day.

The third film should be set in space. That would definitely get my ass in a seat. The seat in question of course would be my couch because this has "straight to home video" written all over it.

Actually throwing their money away would probably be the better business decision.

It will flop badly. If Stallone and Arnold cant open a movie anymore, I highly doubt Segal can.

Okay, I saw the original when I was still in highschool - that was 20 years ago. Sorry but this is going to flop as no one today knows who he is and any of the original fans saw the pics above and don't want to see that on the big screen.

Considering where Seagal is in his career, how would his straight-to-DVD Expendables-like film even turn out? Brian Bosworth, Dean Cain and Richard Greico?

Yeah, I doubt the studios will touch this, though it would be great if they did US3 and captured the "magic" of the first film.

I'm pretty sure Seagal ate the magic.

Hollywood loves their franchises, but greenlighting this would even be a disaster.

Wesley Snipes had a random action movie sequel that no one was asking for and it went straight to DVD -- The Art of War II.

Maybe we should see if Ray Liotta wants to make No Escape 2, or if Charlie Sheen wants to make Terminal Velocity 2.
