Default Actors/Actresses Signing through the Mail

I don't know if this is the appropriate sub-forum to put this in, but are there any well known/semi well known actors/actresses that will sign stuff either via the mail or through their website?

I just set out my cover are for the Nightmare on Elm Street blu ray collection to Robert Englund to have him sign it. It was $30 via his website to send in an item for an autograph.

I thought it was kind of a cool little sub-hobby I might get into with my collection, so I was curious if anyone else of note does something similar?

I figure even if it is in the $20-$50 range, overall it would be about the same cost (on the low side factoring in gas, lodging, etc.) as trying get some of these guys to sign at a show or con.

The reason I am looking specifically for something I can send to them is that I live in the most rural, middle of no where town in PA. Not many cons or shows come within 3 hours of me and those are infrequent at best.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but Scout Taylor-Compton does sign a picture of hers and sens it to you, if you politely ask her via e-mail. She doesn't charge for it. I did that back in 2007, I think. I guess she still does it.

Thanks for the suggestion, friend. I'm really looking for folks that I could send the blu ray cover art to. Pictures are awesome (I have/had quite the collection of NY Knicks signed pics), but as I've gotten older, I've found that I have a hard time convincing my wife to let me display them. And shes right - since I don't have an extra room in the house that could be converted to my man cave/theater room, the pictures would look out of place in our home.

I figure that I can continue my autograph collection by combining it with my blu ray collection. I don't have to worry about extra wall space to display them and it will add to the blu ray value in case a better edition comes out and I want to sell off my old one (for example, I'm selling my Halloween collection blu rays so I can pick up the new box set. I'd def get a little more for them if any of them were signed by Carpenter or cast members).

So that's really what I'm looking for. Kind of specific I guess. I suck at searching for things on the internet; I never seem to know how to find exactly what I'm looking for.

That's so awesome, looking up how to do this now.

I wrote to Johnny Depp nine or so years back and got an autographed pic in the mail.

I've gotten a few autographs through the mail, but not by any kind of "big name" stars. But I've seen some who have stores on their official websites where you can buy pictures and select to have them autographed.

Several years ago, I sent a small G.I. Joe animation cell replica to the actors who voiced Duke and Flint and got it signed by both.

I also mailed a picture to director Stephen Sommers and got it signed. That one took a whole year to get back because it was accidentally misplaced. But when it did return, he had included a hand-written note explaining the delay and apologizing. I thought that was pretty cool and saved it.

If you can find out which talent agents represent people, you can send fan mail to them courtesy of those places. I don't know the success rates, though. I've heard some say they got stuff back signed quickly, and others say they never got their stuff back at all. It's probably a gamble.
