UV collection questions

I have been trying to build my UV collection over the past year and had a couple of questions come up that I couldn't find a place with a good answer.

I have been sharing my collection through VUDU with my brothers. One brother had started his own account and redeemed a couple of movies. He now has about 20 movies that I don't have. Is there a way I can still share my collection, which is better, with my siblings while also being able to share his movies with everyone else? From what I can tell the best way to do this would be to merge the UV accounts. What are some of the drawbacks of merging the accounts? (He has told me that he will just give me all his UV codes from now on so I can share them with everyone else).

I have a few other questions but I will wait to ask one at a time so the thread doesn't get all confusing.

Make sure all the family members are using the same UV locker https://www.myuv.com/ as long as your brother is redeeming UV codes it should show up for all family members. I believe once you merge your UV accounts then both of you should have access to the entire UV collection.

The only issue is once you merge accounts, I don't think you can split them if you didn't want to share anymore. It's been a while since I merged a UV account but, I believe when you merge one of the accounts is still basically the master account. Just remember you are limited to 6 accounts from the one UV locker so your brother has created more than one account you could reach the limit.

Like you I have setup family members that share the UV locker with. Each family member has their own Vudu account so we can all share the UV movie collection with. For Disney what I do is redeem the DMR code which I have my Vudu account linked with and then redeem the DC+ with one of my other family members directly on their Vudu account.

I just found out this week that the others couldn't see my Disney movies. If I redeem a Disney movie on one of the shared accounts are the others able to then see it?

Disney movies aren't UV, so they won't show up in any shared UV account.

Yes six is the max.

Thereis no such option. You have to add yiur UV titles manually to yoir profile.

I'm currently looking at how the Disney movies anywhere service integrates with the UV library. I get a lot of credits from amazon that I plan on using to buy digital Disney movies. When the movie ports over to VUDU through DMA does the type, SD or HD, port over as well? If I buy the SD version from amazon will I get the SD version in VUDU?

Disney does not integrate at all with UV. Disney movies will not share with your Vudu sub members if you have any.
Disney DMA movies will transfer to a linked Vudu account at the same quality level as they were purchased. The HD quality upgrade is only for SD digital copy codes.

Also if you buy a Disney xml file and redeem it in itunes. It redeems in SD but if you have your iTunes account linked to your DMA account it will upgrade to HD and if vudu is linked to your DMA it will appear in HDX in vudu.

What is a Disney xml file? Are you talking about a certain type of code from someone off this website?

Some Disney movies redeem in DMR and also have a DVD disc redemption which requires a xml file from that disc to load the movie. People in the Disney sale forum sell these codes and there is a work around to be able to redeem them into your iTunes account.
