Nice to see some classic titles being released as steelbooks.

So instead of Digibooks... We get steelbooks? That's not all surprising.

Well, here's what I think:

The Jazz Singer - Really want this, providing it's the original Al Jolson version and will save me getting the US release (which looking by the Amazon listing it is)
North by Northwest - Already have, and will be getting in the forthcoming Hitchcock boxset, but will join my steelbooks of Psycho and Lifeboat
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? - Really want this as well, so glad it's coming out on Blu-ray
Dr Zhivago - Already own, but will pick up
Kelly's Heroes - Probably the most uninspiring of the set, but I do like this film
Ben-Hur - Already own, but will look great next to my Gone With The Wind and Wizard Of Oz steelbooks
Rebel Without a Cause - Looking to get either the US digibooks or the three film boxset, but will pick this up
The Maltese Falcon - I already have the US release but it is in my top 50 films

So overall I'm very happy, especiallly as they've gone for more of the older classic titles. Hopefully Warner provide us with more of these titles which have already come out in the US, or are due out soon, so I don't have to worry about importing them. I would have preferred digibooks, but I am also a fan of steelbooks. I also so hope that these have all the extras as well, including all the ones off the DVDs

I see that Amazon also list Casablanca and Gone With The Wind. I'm hoping Gone With The Wind has different artwork to the existing steel. I have the US Casablanca giftset, so hopefully the UK steelbook has the remastered print which has not been made available in this country yet

Just as my bank balance was looking to get itself back to normality after a very heavy few months, it looks like 2013 will be just as damaging

I really do feel older films suit digi books better, not sure why, probably just personal preference.

You did hear of Kelly's Heroes of course! I mean, who doesn't know this movie? If you don't have Kelly's Heroes in your collection, your collection is worthless!

GREAT! While these are being released there's a chance of catching up with masses of good stuff that may have been missed.

Poor show again Warner's on the old steelbook front.
